Mariposa Ingredients:
Sage
COUNTRY SAGE BREAD
(Breads )
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 Tbs. olive oil
3/4 C. warm water
1 Tbs. brown sugar
1 egg --beaten
2 Tbs. fresh sage leaves--minced
1 tsp. Sugar
1/4C. wheat germ
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
   In mixing bowl dissolve yeast, warm water egg, and sugar. Let stand 5 minutes. Add 1 1/2 C flour and remaining ingredients. Beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes.
Cover and let rise until double, about 45 minutes.
Punch down dough. Divide in half. Shape into round loaves. Place on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 20 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees 13-17 minutes or until golden. Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack.
